Sprouts is "a neighborhood grocery store with the feel of an old-fashioned farmers market." At Sprouts, the "triple bottom line" is alive and well, as they seek to do right, do well and do good in support of people, profits and the planet. And in part, that means they're striving to play an active role in the communities in which they operate.

Kosher Wine

Many Abq supermarkets (especially Trader Joe's and Whole Foods Market) carry a small selection of kosher wines.  While sufficient for most people, and handy in an emergency, the true kosher oenophile may not be satisfied.

Abq Jew has ordered (more than once) a mixed case of moderately-priced kosher wines both from KosherWine.com and from KosherWineRack.com, who offer a very good selection, excellent packing, and reasonable (about $2 per bottle) shipping rates.  Don't wait until the last minute to order; the truck starts out the next day, but may take a while to make it to Abq.

Abq Jew has successfully ordered a mixed case of fine, premium Israeli wines from the Judaica Web Storewho offer a slightly more upscale selection, excellent packing, and higher (about $3.50 per bottle) shipping rates.  The wines come quickly and directly from Israel via airmail.  Abq Jew has joined the Affiliate Program of the Judaica Web Store, and strongly encourages you to try their selection of Golan, Castel, and Recanati wines.
